Victor Moses signs new £75,000-a-week Chelsea deal

2 March 2017 Sports

Victor Moses has been rewarded for becoming one of the unlikely success stories of the season with a new contract worth £75,000-a-week, which is a 60 per cent pay rise as a reward for his solid season at Stamford Bridge.

The two-year extension means Moses is committed to Chelsea until 2021 and has earned a significant pay rise to his previous £45,000-a-week wages after becoming a crucial member of Conte’s Premier League table-topping team.

The Nigeria international has had to wait patiently to earn his chance at Chelsea.

Having signed for the club in 2012, the 26-year-old has been sent out on loan to the likes of Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham.

But under Antonio Conte, Moses has been handed his first-team opportunity and been a reliable figure.

Yesterday, Chelsea confirmed the right wing-back had penned a two-year contract extension, tying him down until 2021 in west London.

Moses has performed superbly at right wing-back, following Conte’s successful switch to a 3-4-3 formation that transformed Chelsea’s season.
