Nigeria Drops to 70 on FIFA Rankings

Nigeria are now 70th in the FIFA Rankings, nine places down from last month, according to the latest ratings released by FIFA yesterday.
The Nigerian national team, ranked 61st worldwide in the June rankings, also dropped five places in Africa to the 17th spot on the continent with 514 points.
The likes of Cape Verde, Uganda and Benin are now above Nigeria in the ratings.
The Super Eagles were not involved in any international matches last month.
Nigeria’s World Cup qualifying rivals Algeria remain the top team in Africa and 32nd in the world, while Cameroon are seventh in Africa and 53rd in the world.
Making the top ten in Africa were Algeria, Ghana, Senegal, Egypt, Tunisia, Cameroon, Morocco, DR Congo and Mali in that order.
